Weekend with Grandma & Grandpa

We were off to Victoria last weekend. The weather was sunny and lovely despite the windy bits. We took the ferry over on Sat. and headed to Grandma & Grandpa's house. The dogs, Bodie and Dove, were fantastic with Vasyl and Vasyl seemed to really enjoy them too. Bodie and Vasyl came to a quick understanding that during lunch and dinner that Vasyl would put his hands down and Bodie would try and lick them before Mommy and Daddy noticed. Dovey was actually displaying some protective behaviour towards little Vasyl. We of course were taking no chances, which probably helped with the overall relaxed feeling between the dogs and Vasyl.

On Monday we took Vasyl swimming and he had a great time. He loves his inflateable turtle and I think he also loved having Grandma and Grandpa watching him from the viewing area. It was really great, David and I had not both been in the water with Vasyl together before. Grandpa took some great photos, even one from half way across the pool!

We all went on some walks through the woods, though we did not make it to the beach on this visit.

Vasyl has graduated to eating stews, but still loves his rice wafers best. He is also becoming a real superstar about eating on the road. We were all enjoying the funny noices Vasyl makes while eating. He sounds like a little motor sometimes.

We went swimming yesterday with Vasyl's friends David and Katerina. David and Vasyl go again tomorrow for waterbabies. I hope Vasyl continues to really love all the water.
