Twas the Night Before Christmas

Well it has been pretty busy for the last couple of weeks, but it has really slowed down just in time for Christmas.

AnorMED was sold to Genzyme and everyone has been laid off, everyone was given notice on Dec. 5. There are a couple of different end dates for the employees, Dec. 12, Jan.2, Feb. 2 and Dec. 2007 (for those working directly on the NDA). David's last day is March 31. Genzyme has given David an offer to move to Boston, but there is further negotiation required, therefore we are not sure exactly where we will end up. David is exploring his options at this point.

We went to Boston for a couple of days and explored the city with a realtor. We really enjoyed Boston. Babe and Cool Katie stayed with Vasyl and all three of them had a great time. Mom & Dad, who...

David and I went to the final AnorMED Christmas party. We had a really nice time and it was nice saying goodbye to everyone. Sounds like most people have plans for the future already or are deciding to wait for a little bit before looking for a new job.

Babe, Dido, David, Vasyl and I went and got a Christmas tree together. That was a fantistic family trip and the tree is beautiful. Our little man is getting very clued into what Christmas is all about, pull ornaments from the tree(we have some plastic balls at the bottom), pull open presents from the corners - that's the easiest and get special sweet treats from Daddy.

David and I are so excited to see Vasyl's face when he come down and sees his little car. We may need to help him open presents from the car and serve breakfast as a drive thru.

We had our twelve courses, although many were not necessarily traditional. We started with kutya, then Tom Yam Kung soup, followed by cabbage rolls, potato perogies, sauerkraut perogies, Boston black eyed peas, beet salad, bean & mushroom ragout, kolasha, pickled herring, shrimp ha gow and finally mango coconut sorbet. Yum! Vasyl's favourite was the kutya for sure.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year!

My blog is not letting me upload photos, I will try again later.
